The 21st Annual Tour de StrongLand is ready to roll on Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13 from Roaring Run Park and Hill Crest Shopping Center, Lower Burrell, respectively. A brand new prize structure is in place, thanks to Global Ride, who will be helping to furnish the trophies and prizes on Sunday. This event will kick off a week-long 50th Anniversary Celebration for Lower Burrell that will culminate in a huge parade and fireworks display on Saturday, September 19th. We thank the following bike race sponsors for their contributions to making the 2009 Bike Race a success. We want to remind you that the Sunday bike race activities will include festival booths, which are available for a nominal charge if you want to promote your products or services. To sign up for a booth on Sunday, September 13th, click here for the craft registration flier. The StrongLand Chamber will be giving away a $400, Specialized Bicycle on Sunday, September 13th. So, if you would like a chance to win the bike, stop at a National City Bank, to purchase your raffle tickets.
For all you bike raiders out there, if you would like to race this year click here for the registration form and waiver. Saturday's off-road race 1 starts at 9am and off-road race 2 starts at 11am this year. Just remember you must have the waiver signed, dated and sent in with the application and payment.
