THE TOUR DE TROUT FISHING CONTEST IS COMING; JUNE 2, 2012
Even though we had a wonderful fishing venture with Roaring Run last Fall, the StrongLand Tour de Trout Fishing Derby will return on June 2, 2012 to the lake at Northmoreland Park. We’ll have a food concession to eagerly serve your hunger as well as prizes for the longest trout caught each hour. This year’s program is going to be a lot of fun for the entire family, from the youngest kids to the seniors who will prove that they still know how to catch a fish. Every hour its $25 for the longest trout from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. then we’ll give out “end of the day prizes” for the longest trout, tagged fish caught and age category. Prizes too!
In this mailing you find that you each received five fishing tickets to sell or buy and give to family friends or preferred customers. WE NEED YOU TO MAKE THIS EVENT A TRUE SUCCESS, so help us by displaying the enclosed event poster at a place in or around your store where a lot of people can see it. If you need more tickets to sell or to give a way, please call us at 724.845.5426 as soon as possible and, if available, Bobby Hunt, Event Coordinator, will be out to hand deliver your set. Ticket stubs are due back to the Chamber Office with the money by May 25th, 2012 in order for your sold tickets to be considered valid. Besides the cash awards you know that we have all kinds of prizes provided by our sponsors. Major sponsors for this year’s event are McCutcheon Enterprises and Apollo Trust. Your white and blue fishing contest poster will tell you who the other 27 sponsors are helping to make this event possible. Get your family registered to fish as soon as possible to be in for the grand prizes.
